The Bilgola Plateau Public School Village Fete is swinging back into town, and this year we’re throwing a fab 60th Anniversary bash for the Heart of the Hill!

Put on your coolest 1960s threads (if you’re so inclined) and join our groovy P&C crew and buzzing parent community as we celebrate six decades since two cool cat teachers and 49 bright kiddos first strutted up the hill and kicked off our beloved school.
Bilgola’s got soul, and it all starts right here - at the school that’s been our community’s heartbeat for 60 swinging years.

Here’s your ticket to ride!
Get ready for that tummy flip down the far-out mega slide. Twist, turn, climb and crawl through the sweet-as obstacle course. Whizz your flares far out wide on our spinning rides. And get your groove on at our silent disco.
Good vibes will be had on our rides and activities all day!
Giant Slide: Up you climb and down you whizz down the massive inflatable slide! Suitable for All Ages
Silent Disco: Get your groove on at our Silent Disco! Put on a pair of headphones and dance to your favourite tunes. Choose your own music channel and enjoy a unique, energetic experience without loudspeakers. Suitable for All Ages.
Games Alley: Step into Games Alley for some fun and friendly competition. Try your hand at a variety of games, test your true skills and win prizes. Suitable for All Ages.
Craft Corner: Get creative at Craft Corner! Make your own beautiful jewellery and paint plaster decorations to take home. Suitable for All Ages.
Face Painting: Bring the fun in your face to life at our Face Painting Stall! Trained face painters will create colourful and creative designs from animals to superheroes. Suitable for All Ages.
Hair Braiding: Find your inner Flower Child our Hair Braiding Stall. With beads and weaves, your hair will be brought to life by our team of hair braiders. Suitable for All Ages.
Adrenalin Rush 4 Obstacle: Climb, tumble, weave and roll to your hearts content in our massive inflatable obstacle course! Can you beat your own time each time round? Suitable for 80cm and up.
Storm Ride: Whizz around and around and get the giddys as the storm spins and lights up. Suitable for ages 5+.
Chair O Plane: A fete is simply not a fete without a spinning merry go round. The faster it spins the more you fly high! Suitable for 90cm and up.
Laser Tag: Two teams. Four players a side. Action-packed fun! Strap on your vest, grab your blaster, and outsmart the other team. Suitable for ages 8+.

ENTERTAINMENT​
Get ready to groove, baby!
Our stage will be bursting with good vibes all day long! Feel the rhythm with our Junior and Senior Bands, catch some far-out theatrics with the Drama Group and let the sweet harmonies of the BPPS Choir carry you away. The fancy footwork of the BPPS Junior and Senior Dance teams, along with Dynamite Premiere Academy dancers and the tiny-but-mighty DPA Minnies, dazzling moves are ensured.
You’ll also be able to get down with our incredible line up of DJs including Toni Pearen LIVE w. DJ Peewee Ferris (aka Pipi Le Oui), and the Bilgola Rave Collective feat. DJ Weekend Grooves and DJ John Blenk.

STALLS​
Step right up flower children! Wander through our wonderland of groovy stalls – primed for your pennies.
Get your face painted like a flower child. Test your vibes with the lolly guessing game. Spin the chocolate wheel for some sweet karma. Scoop up plants to bring a little peace and love home. Dig through second-hand books for that hidden treasure. Take a chance on the tombola. Braid and bead your hair for that splash of colour. And many more!
FOOD
Step back in time and treat your tastebuds to the flavours of the swinging 60s!
Pull up at The Diner for old-school burgers and hot dogs just like they used to make. Then wander over to The Pizzeria for bubbling cheese slices and golden garlic bread fresh from the oven. Sweet memories are waiting at The Bilgola Patisserie, where the cake stall is piled high with homemade delights. Get creative with donut decorating that’s far out and fun. Keep it cool with frosty snow cones. Grab a stick of fairy floss as soft as a summer day, and munch on fresh, buttery popcorn as you soak up the good vibes. It’s a tasty trip down memory lane.
DOG SHOW​
Does your pooch has star power? Enter them in our Hippy Hounds and Groovy Pups Dog Show for the chance to win a DOOG Adventure Gear Pack!

ENRICHMENT ART EXHIBITION + AUCTION
Peace, love and creativity! The Bilgola Plateau Public School Enrichment Art Exhibition celebrates student artworks curated by Meredith Rasdall and Liz Dunn.
In honour of Bilgola’s 60th Anniversary, our young artists took inspiration from bushland, ocean views, wildlife and community spirit, creating a colourful showcase of imagination and expression.
The artworks will be on display in the school library and auctioned off on Fete Day - a chance to take home a piece of Bilgola magic!

PARKING
No wheels at the school - and Plateau Road parking is pretty limited. But don’t freak out - there’s plenty of free all-day parking in the surrounding streets.

We dig your furry friends, but unless your pooch is entered into the Dog Show (see above for details) this is a pet-free party. Best to leave them chillin’ at home.
